The struggle for equality is personal for many in our Balón USA community. Our heart is broken over the unjust deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and too many others who have been victims of systemic racism and violence. The Black Lives Matter Movement has highlighted the deep roots of racism that still exist in our country. We stand in solidarity with this movement and hope it will create true change in our communities. Balón USA was founded to serve under-resourced communities, and we exist with the mission of bringing equity to our marginalized communities. To continue supporting our communities with an unwavering focus on equalizing the imbalances of opportunities, we will work even harder in the future to listen to our most marginalized community members, bring those voices to be heard, and empower the communities from within. By working towards high quality soccer programming for all children, we hope to contribute to a more equitable future that goes beyond youth and after-school sports.
